the new herta fill that came up today is based on the Herta rudiment, see attached notes.
the fill sits on a whole bar whose quarters are herta in sequence and the last quarter is 16th notes normal.
this fill can be played in many styles from rock to jazz and Latin.
It is of course recommended to start the fill at a slow tempo (even practice only the Herta and then get to the transition).
