Online drum lesson-Drum fill #13 -ParaParaDiddle+KKRL
Hello everyone and welcome to today's new drum lesson.
The rudiment we will use today will be: ParaParaDiddle
His sticking is: RLRLRR-LRLRLL
What will make it sound interesting is that we will play this rudiment in sixteenth notes (groups of 4), therefore if we play it in a group of 4 it will be 3 quarters and we will need a more quarter to complete the fill, the last quarter will be an addition of -KKRL(in 16th).
And when they are connected it will look like this: RLRL-RRLR-LRLL-KKRL
Before you start trying the fill, first start practicing on a paradiddle diddle to have a flow with the rudiment. Play with a metronome once in groups of 3 (triplets) once in groups of 6 (sextula) and finally start getting used to playing it in groups of 4 (sixteenths) the beat Every time it will move for you and this is the challenge since the rudiment is a group of 6 so if we play in a group of 4 the one will move every time, and only after 3 bars will it reset for you.
